13 AAP candidates file nominations for Bengal Panchayat elections, face potential action

The top leadership of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi has decided not to field a candidate for the Bengal Panchayat elections for greater interest, but after the nomination process is over, it is revealed that 13 candidates will be fielded on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Bengal Panchayat elections.

Candidates were eliminated. 4 AAP candidates are visible in Panchayat Samiti and 9 candidates filed nominations from AAP symbol at Gram Panchayat level.

AAP chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in May. There was a discussion in Parliament to stop the order issued by the Center to maintain administrative control over the capital.

13 AAP candidates contested in the Panchayat elections
The AAP leadership in Bengal says the party has not given tickets to these 13 people. The party doesn't even know who they are. As he himself stood in the name of Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP central leader Sanjay Basu told the media, "We have been trying to find out from the party who and where it has fielded candidates. Earlier in the party meeting we said that AAP is not contesting the elections. Even after that I don't understand how anyone came to file a nomination on your behalf and it was accepted."

According to the AAP leadership, they will write a letter to the Election Commission to cancel the nominations of those 13 people. Even the UP management demands that they find out who they are and file a criminal complaint against them. According to him, an FIR should be lodged against those who contest the election by stealing the election symbol of the national party.

AAP announced that it will not field a candidate in the Bengal elections to strengthen opposition unity against the BJP. Now that his party's candidates have run, the party is now set to take action against him.
